Main Task: Profiling Your Audience
David is 15, he eats, breathes and intoxicates hiself with Hip Hop and R'n'B. He collects many albums of famous Hip Hop musicians such as Chris Brown - F.A.M.E & Big Sean - Finally Famous Etc... With his pocket money, he indulges himself with the latest Hip Hop and R'n'B tunes and on his laptop, computer, phone and MP4 player, he fills it up with Hip Hop and R'n'B Songs. He copies the dressing and has adopted the slang they use, (he doesn't call it dressing he calls it swag like he's idols do). In his free time, David and his friends get a portable stereo speaker and roam around blastic famous Hip Hop tunes especially a tune by Meek Millz ft Rick Ross- I'm a Boss. He attends most of the concerts when he has time and doesn't stop talking about this specific genre of music, He thinks it's the best out of all music. In and out of his mouth is just Hip Hop and R'n'B, he just can't get enough, its been with him since he was a baby, dancing to the bass of the tunes.

Main Task: Double Page Spread Textual Analysis
The denotation in this picture is Dr Dre, the famous rapper. He's kneeling down looking straight at the camera at eye level with a serious face. He's wearing a black leather jacket. This connotes that he is serious and not a guy to joke with especially with the leather jacket adding on a cool serious look, this makes the viewer thinks twice before un friending this guy.
Costume: In a black leather jacket, silver watch and black leather gloves. This connotes that he is a cool but dangerous guy judging by what he is wearing. This can also show that although he is famous, he may be involved in criminal activity.
Setting: There is no setting in this picture. This connotes that because there is no setting in this picture and because he is famous and a global superstar, he can be or is known everywhere, he doesn't have a one current location, he is all around. Also the background is white, this connotes that he likes to be alone or keep him self to hiself signaling no trust in others.
Lighting: The denotation of the lighting is around he's chest area, there is no light at all, it's like there is darkness in him. One side of his face has light whilst the other side is a bit dark too. This connotes that he has a dark and cold personality inside him but on the outside he's somewhat different. The lighting on his face can show that he is calm to start of with but get on the wrong side then its trouble.
NVC: He's non verbal communication shows him standing with one leg up being supported by something with he's back leaning forward. He's face is serious and straight too which gives an impression of he is not happy. This connotes that he is not to mess around with and is a serious looking guy, anyone that may trouble him may get hurt from the saying "the quieter the deadlier". As he looks quite but quiet big too, this phrase has a impact on what he's about.

Main Task: Front Cover Textual Analysis
The denotation in this picture is the famous musicians P Diddy, Rick Ross and Janelle Monae. The two gentlemen are standing looking towards the camera with glasses on in black suits showing that they are the bosses of their game, looking fearless and courageous whilst Janelle Monae is standing behind them showing that they protect her. The meaning behind this is to show that they are great at what they are doing and no one should dare to oppose them, they enjoy it by getting what they need to make them look big.
The costume that is being presented is a high class look. This shows that they have money and they are big people in society and knowing their position, they are classed as big people in society, the watch, ring and grills (braces in Diddy's mouth) are expensive these days, to get these items you would need money. The suits make them look well presented and luxurious.
The lighting in this picture is high key, but the colour is dull, which battles each other to make it stand out and find it appealing. I think this is shown like this to show that they have their ups and donws and they are not to messed around with. They can be nice people, have a fun lifestyle, but push there buttons and you see the darkside of them. Just because they have the serious stereotypical high class look doesn't mean they don't have time for the public. They make music for us to enjoy.
There isn't a setting for this piece and the reason may be that because they are global superstars, they are not just in one current location, they are always on the move so they will get known all over, and judging by this it has worked. The reason that there is no setting for this piece could be also that they can work or be around any type of conditions and still be all right or have their boss attitude towards the situation that they have faced.
The NVC (Non Verbal Communication) in this picture is the three beings standing, facing the camera with a serious face with a strong back bone posture. This shows the reader that these people are strong, brave and fearless people as they are staring straight at the camera. Also they have a lot of money and are well groomed. I get this from when it shows me that they are in suits all dressed up smart and proper, with jewellery on them i.e, rings and chains. This shows they are very serious and well respected people because they are known and have respect and get money from what they do as a career.
Masthead: It has a logo. The Logo is clear and bold. Some of the letters may be hidden in certain parts but this shows that it is a serious issue or as i would like to call it, a "bad boy" issue showing the big "bad boy" stars. Makes the reader feel that this issue will be an interesting or amazing issue to read.
Dateline: It has a dateline so you don't feel old when reading this. for example, if it was made 2 years ago, you would know it isn't a recent update from now, you and the reader will understand it was concerning the people in those times. This makes it a lot easier for the readers and us to differintiate the time from then to the time now.
Main Image: it has a main image. The main image is the infamous music stars P Diddy, Rick Ross and Janelle Monae looking serious and dressed appropriately. This symbolises that they are big people and respected people because the camera shot is slowly below eye level. Shows that they are down and ready for business and don't waste with what ever faces them. it also shows that thye are protecting the female (Janelle Monae) this is important because that's the expectations of a man, to look after a woman.
Coverlines: used to show other stories or importnant information that the magazine issue has to offer, like a quick contents page on the front page for the readers. this contributes into making the reader want to buy the magazine issue

Preliminary Task: Front Cover Textual Analysis
The denotaion in this picture is a college student looking stylish with books in his hands, smiling. From this i get that he is happy with his college life and the way he looks. The meaning i get is that this magazine promotes college life with style and books. The meaning attached to it is going to college can be fun and happy, but you have to have the right frame of mind or tools to do so.
The costume that is being presented is a casual look, he looks like he is a young male with a long chain. This can show that he is the type of guy that is prepared for college and what it faces; i say this because a lot of people worry about style and having the latest gadget or accesesory.
The props that are used in this cover make it look related to the topic that is shown. The books in the young males hands show an educational feel/approach to the topic which makes it blend in so people don't get confused when the topic says one thing, but the picture shows another.
The lighting in this picture is high key, but the colour is dull, which battles each other to make it stand out and find it appealing. I think this is shown like this to show college has its ups and downs for instance; one day college will be fun, the next it will be boring.
There isn't a setting for this piece, i think the reason for this is to show that you can study out of college too and that this magazine isn't specified for just one college inperticular. I also think they done this so they can get to the reader that it isn't only topiced on college, its for outside of college too.
The NVC (Non Verbal Communication) in this picture is the young male smiling and standing in a comfortable but cool posture. This shows to the reader that he is happy with he's studies and has it all, the style, swag, brains. I get this from when he has he's on look, he's holding a law, business and society book usually known to be learned by the smart.
Masthead: The Logo is clear, even though you can't spot 2 letters, you still understand that it's college.
Dateline: It has a dateline to show you when this was publish, so you don't feel old when its been made 2 years ago and you know that what it's talking about isn't for now.
Main image: The main image is of a smart casual looking male holding books, this symbolises that he is ready for college and education.
Cover-Lines: The coverlines is about the main issues in college summarised in small titles. This gives the reader/buyer a vivid image of what it is going to discuss

Introductoin: Movie Poster Textual Analysis
This is a movie poster for 'Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull'. In this view , he's body language shows that he has a back bone for example, he is brave.
The whip represents that he is ready to fight any danger that comes towards him. he's dressed like he's an explorer with: sun hat; open shirt; dirt shoes.
The lighting is low key with a sudden flash of light at the back that shows it could be an action film but the font seems funny looking so it represent that the film isn't really all serious but may have a little touch of comdey and laughter.
It's a low angle shot so it shows Indiana Jones in a more dominant looking way.
Introduction: Re-Creation of a Movie Magazine Front Cover
I found this difficult to construct. This is my first time using photoshop and i am proud to say i am happy with the outcome of it. I feel it needs improving but i can deal with how it is now. This is the interpretation of the inception cover. I have tried to make a blue cover from scratch and managed to resemble the writing from the original display. I used magic wand tool and the font Myriad Pro.
I feel that if i had more time in doing this work, then i would have made a masterpiece or something around them lines.
This is the original photo/front cover of the magazine. my interpretation of this is no way near as good as this but seeing as this is my first time on photoshop, i hope to improve in what i do and put more effort into it.
